Backups
What’s included
Our backup policy is still being finalized. This page will be updated with exact details (how many backups are kept, how often automatic backups run, and how long they’re retained) once that’s settled. In the meantime, we recommend making a manual backup before any change you’d be upset to lose.
Creating a manual backup
You can create a backup two ways:
- From Discord: run
/pt backup. - From the Panel: open your server, go to the Backups tab, and click Create Backup.
Either way, the backup is stored and can be restored from the Panel’s Backups tab later.
Locked backups
A backup can be marked locked. A locked backup won’t be automatically deleted, even if your server’s normal backup limit is reached — everything else can be cleaned up over time, but a locked backup stays until you unlock or delete it yourself.
Use a locked backup for a copy you specifically want to keep long-term — for example, right before a big change to your world or server config that you might want to undo later.
