Acceptable Use Policy

This policy describes what you can and can’t do with a Feral Toaster server. It works alongside our Terms of Service. Violating this policy can result in suspension or termination of your service, without refund.

1. No illegal activity

Don’t use your server for anything illegal under Canadian law or the law of your own jurisdiction. This includes hosting or distributing illegal content of any kind.

2. No attacks or abuse of others

Don’t use your server to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to other systems. This includes DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-forcing credentials, spamming, or operating botnets. Our own infrastructure provider’s acceptable use policy also applies to everything hosted on our nodes, and we’re bound by it — violations that put our standing with them at risk will be treated seriously.

3. Resource use

Your server is limited to the resources included in your plan. Don’t attempt to circumvent these limits. If your use case consistently needs more than your current plan provides, upgrade — don’t try to work around the cap.

4. Copyright and game files

Don’t use your server to distribute pirated or cracked game files, unauthorized copies of copyrighted mods or assets, or anything else that infringes someone else’s copyright. We’ll respond to legitimate takedown notices.

5. Reselling and sub-hosting

You may not resell access to your Feral Toaster server, or use it to host game servers for other paying customers of your own, without our prior written permission.

6. Server content and community standards

You’re responsible for what happens on your server, including content shared by anyone you allow to join it. We don’t monitor server content proactively, but we will act on credible reports of illegal activity or serious abuse.

7. Reporting a problem

If you believe another customer’s server is being used to violate this policy, let us know at support@feraltoaster.com or in our Discord server. Include as much detail as you can.

8. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate a server that violates this policy, at our discretion, with or without advance notice depending on severity. Serious violations (attacks on others, illegal content) may result in immediate termination without refund.
