Terms of Service
Draft — pending legal review. This document is not final and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It should not be treated as binding until it’s published with a real “last updated” date.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By purchasing, accessing, or using any Feral Toaster service, you agree to these Terms of Service and the accompanying Acceptable Use Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
2. What we provide
Feral Toaster provides self-service game server hosting. You choose a game and a plan, pay through our billing portal, and a server is provisioned automatically. You manage your server through the control panel or our Discord bot. Support is provided primarily through our Discord server.
3. Eligibility
The person who creates a Feral Toaster account and pays for a service must be at least 18 years old — this matches the requirement for holding the credit card or payment method used at checkout. We don’t monitor or control who actually plays on a server once it’s set up; the account holder is responsible for supervising who they allow to use it, including minors.
4. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys secure. Don’t share them. You’re responsible for all activity that happens on your server, including anything done by people you’ve given access to it.
5. Billing and payment
Services are billed monthly, in advance, in USD, through Stripe. Prices for each plan are shown at checkout. We may change prices for future billing periods; we’ll give you notice before a price change affects you.
6. Late or missed payment
If a payment fails, we’ll notify you. Your server will be suspended if payment hasn’t been received within 3 days of the invoice becoming overdue. If payment still hasn’t been received within 14 days of the original overdue date, your server and its data may be permanently deleted. We’re not able to recover data after deletion.
7. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel your service at any time through the billing portal.
Our refund policy is still being finalized. This section will be updated with specifics (for example: no refunds on partial billing periods, a money-back window for first-time purchases, or prorated refunds) before this document is published live.
8. Service availability
We aim for reliable uptime but don’t currently offer a guaranteed uptime service level agreement (SLA). We’ll make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned maintenance that requires downtime.
9. Your data and backups
Tools for creating and scheduling your own backups are available in your server’s control panel — see our Backups documentation for how to set them up. Backups are opt-in and your responsibility to configure. We don’t automatically back up every server by default. While we take reasonable measures to protect the infrastructure your server runs on, we aren’t responsible for data loss, and strongly recommend you configure your own backup schedule for anything you don’t want to lose.
10. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update these terms or change the services we offer. If we make a material change, we’ll post an update here with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Limitation of liability
Feral Toaster is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost data, lost profits, or lost gameplay progress.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the laws of Canada applicable within it.
